I've been playing the clarinet since I was 11 and I realised that I could make a much nicer sound on it than the violin I'd been scraping away on. I also play the piano and finally did my DipABRSM last year after 13 years of promising to get round to it at some point... I've been living in the North East for 10 years, having moved up here to do my teaching degree. I now teach music full time at St. Leonard's in Durham. I joined the North East Concert Band in November 2009 after too many years of seeing my poor clarinet gathering dust. I'm loving getting the opportunity to play again with such a warm and welcoming group of people. Favourite piece - Too many to choose from!
